I wonder if they had stayed together would they have gotten bad press because their name is Isis?

They changed their FB page to ISIS (The Band) lmao

As soon as I started hearing about ISIS (Not The Band) about a year ago I started thinking the same thing.

This worked for me today. The first time in fact after many listens. I've always thought oceanic is their magnum opus but who knows...

Oceanic and Panopticon are to post-metal what Keepers 1 & 2 are to power metal and BFD / Hammerheart are to Viking metal. Back-to-back albums that were the moment.

I really need to hear this but I should probably start with Neurosis first.

Well, Neurosis is less accessible, so it will take some time.

But you should definitely hear this.

Dude yea you gotta hear this. It's so amazing how they balance out beauty and the raw, in your face parts so well. The second half of So Did We has all thew feels.

The lyrics to this album are incredible. They're a bit hard to make out but if they're fantastic.
