Actually, that's a fair conclusion Croc. Just listening back, it is mainly the first verse. I guess it was those first few lines that really put that idea into my head & they just stuck there.

Yeah, it seems the days of them really rocking out may be gone. 'Tarantula' on this shows fleeting signs of it, but not for long. I'd say Cordeux is really an indie-head & always wanted to head in this direction.

I also disagree for the most part. I believe it's an attempt to grow... To evolve. Does that mean it's always for the best? No. But I think most bands have to go through this stage at some time of their careers. As I insinuated in my conclusion, these guys are still young (I think Cordeux is only 24) and if they learn from everything, then it will be for the best in the long run.
