I think it's booze that did it and it's probably sometime close after Who Do We Think We Are when he lost his voice. Doesn't matter though because for 3 years he was the best rock vocalist in the world.

Its a fantastic comeback. All of you mention the title track or Knocking..., but what about Son of Alerik. House of blue light is also great.
