"Yeah, in this case it's the actual music that's the problem."

Nope. It's the fact that it was not Halford in there. Was it different from Painkiller ? Sure...but all their albums were different from each other. The fans were butthurt over Ripper for some reason, even though he's a great singer, imo.

It's not like it was Blaze Bailey or something...

1.5 is laughable...but maybe you like Turbo more ? haha

Yeah this is better than Turbo by a long shot.

This is easily better than Turbo and Point Of Entry imo

A bit better than Point of Entry. Some songs there are really good, but this is more consistent overall.

there are killer riffs in most of the songs and Ripper's vocal timbre is awesome. but man those lyrics ruin the mood.

This album would've probably gotten more praise if it didn't have Priest's name attached to it.

I mean it's still a shitty album overall, but yeah the point you're making is somewhat accurate.

Never said it was good. Otherwise then I'd think Reign in Blood would be a solid album ;)

This however is average at best.

That's a stretch calling this average honestly, but different strokes. lol. I feel bad for Ripper....he never really got a shot in actual Judas Priest.

Yeah he was the best part about this album.

If they touched up on the lyrics, put some more emphasis on melody instead of cycling low-tier thrash riffs on top of each other all the time, they could've made a killer record. While keeping the groove/thrash sound which could've been awesome.

Like I feel so bad for Ripper. His twitter hurts to watch as Halford fans constantly harass and attack him on twitter any time he mentions Priest, and sometimes they just go at him anyways even if it doesn't involve Priest.

Like, holy shit, I get they don't like him but FFS some Priest junkies need to calm the fuck down.
