Yeah, it was great NintendoCore. I remember texting a football fanatic back home the following words: "Thank f**k they won or else we would have been caught in a riot". But what ended up happening anyway!? Weird!
"No" to both of your guesses Adam. And unfortunately it was a Top 40 artist. You will just have to wait now. Especially since you just placed that fantastic Kasabian riff in my mind again. That doesn't get dislodged easily!

I'll have to look at the UK top 40 to back you up on that one, linkage?

Well, thanks for that detailed opinion on this album & my review DavID. As succinct as ever! Haha. You have heard this album, haven't you? 3.5'ish?
How was Splendour?
Adam, I never said it was good. Song(s) may not be in top 40 at the moment either. Was a month ago though.

No Arctic Monkeys in UK top 40?
|
| |
Lol of course not. I swear the rest of the world seriously has no idea how f**ked this country's popular music landscape is.
|
| |
I mean like, on that link take a look at the rock singles chart.
Linkin Park - New Divide
Nickelback - If Today Was Your Last Day
Linkin Park - What I've Done
Fightstar - Never Change
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
That's the top 5. SERIOUSLY, IRIS?! Iris, Supermassive Black Hole, Sweet Child O' Mine, Livin' On A Prayer and Don't Stop Me Now all sold more copies last week than all but 4 'rock' songs released this year.

Haha. 'Iris' made me do a triple take. It's like I've taken a time machine back to the 90s.
And I know how seriously screwed your charts are. We have the top 10 singles printed in our paper weekly & I usually don't know more than 2 tracks and you can tell the rest are crap just by looking at the name of the song or artist.
And then there is just weird crap like a few years back when Elvis Presley started charting out of nowhere!
|
| |
Yeah. Jackson's everywhere at the moment too. I have serious anger issues with mainstream media in this country, lol.

The MJ thing is a little different as he has just passed away. He has 3 albums in the top 10 here as well.
BTW, my next reviewee was on those charts, so I'm guessing you aren't that big of a fan. No biggie, as neither am I.
So how's the weather shaping up for the 3rd test?

Nah man, don't really care for these guys much.
How was Splendour?
Great. I saw Bloc Party (and met Russell and Matt at the airport), and Flaming Lips were incredible.

Lessee...5,8,9,16,17,18,20,21,22,27,28,37,38,40. All good. Rest I either don't know, don't care or hate so woo.
No Arctic Monkeys in UK top 40?
A-duhhh, Crying Lightning only just came out.

A-duhhh, Crying Lightning only just came out.
It is fairly evident from the rock charts that release dates hold no importance.

That's all pretty specific, though. And it includes downloads, yes?
|

What's specific? And yeah, I would assume so.

The category of music. That's why it should just be a general chart.

Did you push Coyne along in his big bubble? I saw a great photo of that yesterday.
