id have to say that, of their discography, these two are the best. but their debut could be to your liking. its worth a shot.

my only complaint is that I wish it was longer. well, that, and the fact that I've never been a big fan of Brodsky's clean vocals.
Imagine if they just hired Chino to do all their cleans... ooh, child.

Jupiter > White Silence > UYHS > Planets EP = PPB > Tides EP > Antenna for me

Air Escapes kind of sucks but the other three songs rule.

Nah, Antenna's better than PPB, in my opinion. Jupiter truly is something else, but there's this really smart aggression on Planets EP and White Silence that doesn't sound so contrived as UYHS. Antenna is like a faster Tides with darker lyrics and more conventional rock structure, so it really appeals to me. Hmm:
Jupiter > White Silence > Antenna > Planets EP = Tides EP > PPB > UYHS.
Just listened to Planets and realized how ENERGIZED it is. That feedback section of "Cayman's Tongue" into the outro is fucking unbelievable.

I really wish this had been a full length instead of an EP. It perfectly combines everything I love about their old style and the new.

I wonder if they have anything new in the works to begin with.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. Mutoid Man seems to be Brodsky's main gig now, which is perfectly fine with me because I think they're damn near perfect, but I would love to hear some new Cave In as well. I did have the pleasure of seeing Mutoid Man and Cave In play on the same day last year. It was majestic as fuck.

I honestly never listened to Mutoid Man. What is a good band comparison for them? I might have to check em out

If you dig the more rocknroll vibe of Cave In, you'll love Mutoid Man. Very sludgy, technical and rocknroll hardcore. They're basically a more straightforward and stripped down Cave In.

Ok, that song was fucking awesome! I absolutely loved the bass tone. I'll be checking that 2015 and funnily enough I was going to check that last year and forgot to.

That was my AOTY and I absolutely can't recommend it enough. The EP is killer too, just with fairly lo-fi kinda production. They were a blast to see live. So much energy
