First of all, where did I say that because it's a progression from Messengers that the album is good? I said it was less repetitive, which it is. Just because less repetition makes an album better doesn't mean I'm saying it's good.

My bad, in my time on Sputnik I only see a handful of people with a genuine respect for metalcore. I just assumed it wasn't exactly "going places".

You don't have to actually say you hate the vocals with a fiery passion. It an exaggeration of you saying they're mediocre and very poor, calling them pathetic, saying "Seriously he's not a good vocalist".

So how about instead of making retarded assumptions that you seem to pull out of thin air on whether I hate the band or not, you instead should go home, find an extension cord, a table chair and just go nuts."
It's a poor review. Instead of going into any REAL detail (in anything other than the vocals and apparently the song Indonesia) you say its a boring album that was heavily influenced by BTBAM and other more successful metalcore acts and it failed at it. Seriously... thats it. A brief paragraph about the vocals too. There's a reason why longer reviews tend to be a little less shitty then this one.
I must've been mistaken but reviews I thought were supposed to prove something to me, you know, make a decent point backed up with details. I didn't feel like something was being proven to me reading it, I felt like I just listened to an album I kind of liked and some tool decided to argue with me, throwing meaningless "facts" around like...
"OMG, this sounds just like Controllers"
and
"God dude, these vocals are so bad. Let me show you a good album"
and
"I can't believe they got that guy to do guest vocals, hes the worst one in his own band, heheheh"
and
"I guess parts of it are alright but dude, this is boring. Seriously, just listen to BTBAM, they're like 10x better than these guys"

Technically a review is supposed to convince a person to either check out an album or ignore it. Sure it's your opinion, that's obvious, but a review should serve the purpose of trying to convince somebody that an album is/isn't worth their time instead of just being a bunch of paragraphs griping about an album.

yeah man it's not a terrible review, but i dont think you back up your points adequately, calling a band like ABR, Generic is tough for a lot of people to believe (myself included)because this stuff is so technical and intense. so maybe pick certain examples from songs where they played a riff too many times, or played a crappy riff, or like your post earlier where you described specifically why you didnt like the vocals, that literally should be in your review, a few more paragraphs like that and all those of us who like the album will be left with is: "i disagree"
