Enormous? I guess if you include metalcore or post-hardcore acts or pop-punk but actually aggressive 'indie' (I know it's not strictly a genre but there's a certain resonance there) like Brand New and MewithoutYou has always seemed a woefully small genre to me. Not enough bands manage to avoid becoming part of a scene to make it a large genre. But if I've been wrong and there are lots of them please recommend! This Message Edited On 05.19.09
