It's very hard to rate 800 albums and keep a high objectivity.

Not really, just listen to almost as much crap as good stuff. (800 ratings would mean every mediocre metalcore album ever)

Dang curse my slow typing

uhh lets see happiness is a warm gun is pretty much the only song I like by them......and yeah I can't say anything else good about them

Uhh, how about the fact they revolutionised pop and rock music, pioneered experimental recording and created albums that are, quite literally, timeless?

The way we speak of classical composers today, that's how future generation will speak of what the Beatles did.

chill rasputin... its really just a joke.

I'm sure he'll read it and just shake it off along with the rest of the criticism he gets.

He's a little slow, but at least he is listening to new music (radiohead).

problem is I have a knack to disregard almost all the bullshit on this site and only get the highest rated, so pretty much all the music I have is great.

/rolls eyes, you could say all that if you did no research at all, but having this argument is useless since beatles fans are more stubborn than redwood trees

it's pretty funny that people actually believe the beatles single-handedly changed pop music

Not alone; the Stones and the Beach Boys certainly had a helping hand at the time.

They couldn't have possibly changed pop music because no pop band sounds like them.

They did however innovate it to the utmost extreme. Sort of like Refused with the Shape of Punk to Come.

It's pretty funny that people think that a 'musical revolution' of sorts can be pinned down to a handful of people.

It might pay to take note of all the bands and producers and countless others who may have contributed who didn't become famous.

Come on, man, the legacy of pop music at that period in time, and the impact it had, is pretty hard to dispute.

I'm not disputing the legacy of pop music at the time, I'm disputing your belief that somehow the Beatles, along with two other bands, changed the entire face of pop music, and that nobody else played a part. And even if it were true, music doesn't change like that, music progresses and evolves, and the Beatles are the way they are because of their influences. This is a redundant argument anyway.

You're going to have to backtrack a little there and point out exactly where I said that nobody else played a part?

The Beatles did no more to 'revolutionise' pop music than the countless other bands before and after it. Just because they became a global phenomenon does not substantiate your claims concerning their legacy.
