The bends are either bending the entire guitar, or the strings are detuned to something unholy to get them to move like that. It's wonderful.

EDIT: Actually it might be a whammy bar.

Album is straight black metal blues and it's a classic.

All fill no kill. When they write actual songs they rule but half of this is filler. Smh music can be ugly and awesome for sure, but this is just ugly.

PN is probably the best in the world at mixing horrible ugliness with striking beauty. It's like a real world beauty, taking the ideals of what could be, and purposefully tarnishing with the grit of nihilistic cynicism. Ends with this demented brand of BM that shouldn't work, but just does.

I agree completely, I've heard a few of their albums. This one though, I'm not too keen on. I like their s/t and L' ordure more for sure.

La Sanie is my personal favorite, and I originally had this one at like a 3 because I wasn't too keen on it either. Re-listened to it like a half a year ago, and it clicked with me hella hard. Might just be one of those albums.
