Yndi Halda wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Godspeed.

Honestly, fuck Yndi Halda. I mean they're a great post rock band, but Godspeed are way more innovative. Their general approach

concerning textures and the diverse range of instruments and techniques they utilize have always made them more unique and

more interesting than Yndi, who are not much more than a great sounding post-rock band.

edit: I realized that argument has sort of passed, but just had to get that in.

I'm making my gf a mixtape of post-rock albums because she wants more, she loves Explosions In The Sky (not just The Earth... she has most of their albums)... anyway, is this a logical next step or should I try something like Do Make Say Think or Yndi Halda?

Do Make Say Think, pg.lost, Laura. GY!BE is always the last band I tell people to listen to if they're getting into post-rock. Seriously, fuck Yndi Halda they're incredibly mediocre.

Go for something off of this or maybe Moya off of Slow Riot? Couldn't hurt to put DMST in as well to be honest.

I'm not too keen on pg.lost and never heard Laura... maybe I'll go with You, You're A History In Rust... I think it should be something pretty accessible.
