I have no idea who the main guy in this is (apparently someone big in the music industry) and therefore, I had no preconceptions going into this.
Yeah I had no idea who he was either, at least until I reviewed the album and looked a little more into him. I remember some guy earlier on criticising me for simply writing the review to bash Mick Barr as if I had some personal vendetta against him, pretty funny.

Why so? The rush I get from their compositions is unimaginable. I think alot of people don't like this because it's totally out of the realm of traditional black metal even though this album is being pimped as black metal. Kind of like tech metal taken to a whole new level. Tell me "Energy Chasms" doesn't floor you about 3 minutes into the song?

I used to love Scar Symmetry. And then they came out with a new album.
This guy's new album is going to be just as bad, if not worse. The song they released from that album was so badly composed it's laughable. Granted, the guy can play, but for the love of music he cannot compose.

Give this album another try and just listen to where the melodies take you. Sounds hippish but I feel as if I'm going on a journey with this album.

I love, love an album with melody, but on this album I find the nonstop tremolo to be out of sync with the rhythm guitar which sort of wanders around, gets bored, and starts doing it's own thing.
