Great first review, i am inclined to agree that while the band is great, they do have a few noticeable weaknesses

I'm sorry but this is pure garbage. The lyrics, the music, all of it. It just sounds so hollow like there is hardly anything holding it together. Some of my friends like this band, and I just can't stand them. I'm not sure about any of their other records, but this just is just god awful.

Best 5FDP. Should be listed under genre: MEHtal

does this sound anything like glam metal
|
| |
No sirree, this is more like Pantera/Lamb of God with awful lyrics and pretty good clean singing. Not glam at all.

If I listen to this once every 6 months or so, and it will sound decent. I find meet the monster hilarious.

Yeah, it's kinda fun to listen to "Ashes", "The Bleeding", or "Never Enough" once in a while. I would argue that "The Bleeding" is a genuinely great song.

Yeah the Bleeding is the only song that I ever come back to on this.

The grunting macho bravado shit the singer does never really bothered me that much. I mean it's silly and he sounds like a barking retard, but it's all good fun. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the guitar work on here though. Probably their best album.. still think their first two records have some good cuts and are worth listening to If you're looking for some pantera-lite groove.

5FDP's debut album is my favorite. They were so powerful on this album both vocally and lyrically. "White Knuckles", "Ashes", "A Place to Die", "Salvation" and "The Bleeding" are some of my favorite songs by them. This album was a great start for the band, though I will agree that they have gone downhill after American Capitalist.

I still dig this album after all these years. Shame they've proved to be one-trick-ponies over and over.

heard some of this for the first time in a while because of a friend and it was actually kind of enjoyable. it's weird how fucking stale and annoying they got after this album considering how solid most of it is
