can't wait for what they can produce in the future

tbh I'm scared, I doubt they can top this in which case I'll end up at least a little disappointed, which is something I don't want to feel with this band.

Where's Illuvatar gotten to, he wrote the other review for this and disappeared? Wanted to know what he thinks of mine.

We all have to feel disappointment once in a while.I here Focus is better than this.Maybe the next will also be good but not as good as it's predecessor (this) and so keeping your hopes up will only increase your disappointment.

Advice from a pessimist.

Guess we'll find out in 13 years then.

focus is 28x better and don't jinx a potential future album by talking about it!

Focus is average compared to this for me, so you can imagine why I doubt they will ever top this in my eyes

Focus was only a 3.5 for me, I think it was the robot vocals that killed some of it for me.

The robot vocals are sweet. I probably like this a bit more right now but I'm really digging it so it could wear off.

Sure there is, it's just disguised. Like the very end of The Space For This, for example, when he's saying "I am now the space for this" and the guitars are blazing and the double bass is kickin. Definitely death metal.

I still wouldn't call it prog death, not even at a stretch tbh.

What would you call it? (serious question)

Just Prog Metal, not that I'm an expert at labelling music but yeah, even if it does have a bit of Death Metal influence it's not nearly enough to seriously call it Prog Death... if that makes sense.

It does. A good amount of melo-death bands I've heard have noticeable black or thrash elements, but no one would ever label them as such.
