Every time I listen to the new "Feel Good Drag" I wish they'd left the screaming in it
regardless it still kicks an immense amount of ass.

I'm still really surprized at what a loyal following this band has. which is great for Anberlin!!!....But you only need to listen to a minute of each track because there music is just so basic as in verse/chorus/verse/chorus. Maybe I keep harping on Anberlin because everywhere I go on the internet is great reviews for them and I just don't understand it, it's an average album at best!

but it's an average album that rules

I've heard this band mentioned too many times to continue ignoring. So I decided to check some of this out. The vocals on Soft Skeletons did not do anything good for me. I will stream it fully today. Feckin o-town.

Denver fan are we? Should be an excellent game. Count on the running game being shut down, not sure about Cutler and Marshall however. Denver's soft pass defense will be exploited by Smith and Moose.
Vocals generally make or break a band for me and so far they dont soothe the beast.

I dunno about you guys but I personally think Disappear is just that little tiny bit better than The Resistance. Epic chorus for sure.
Great album, definitely a guaranteed enjoyable listen. This Message Edited On 10.09.08

Yeah the chorus in "Disappear" is close to my favorite moment on the record
and when the Panthers journey to Lambeau we will be ready

We've taken the Bears who are at the top of there game right now, Carolina will be victorious. This will probaly grow on me, well hopefully.

Just listen to the first half on repeat. It's much stronger than the second half, and you must see the appeal of the first track and 'Feel Good Drag'.

i have loved every single one of anberlin's albums. i know ill enjoy anything they release in the future because ive found that for every step they have taken musically, brilliance always trails behind. and brilliance is engraved in this album. i dont know which song is my favorite, i enjoy all of them for different reasons. but my god the lyrics for soft skeletons brought me on the verge of tears. and miserabile visu is too epic to sum up in a few words.

^A few of these tracks took a while to grow on me, hopefully they'll do the same for you. Still, this isn't as great as I was hoping.
Cities > Never Take Friendship Personal >> New Surrender >Blueprints for the Black Market
