"everything that is sung about on the album sounds like it is meant for teens right now in this day and age"
You say that like theres something wrong with that. Remember that part of being an artist is fitting with todays audience.
"Blake Healy leaves his bass guitar collecting dust for practically the entire affair"
Electronic music dude. That's a pretty common factor
"As for their guitar work, it quite literally never goes beyond a few chords"
As a musician, I can say that even if a just is "just a few chords", theres also a drum, bass, keyboard, and another guitarist and vocalist he has to follow at one rythym.
I give credit to Trace Cyrus in his guitar work. He has a stranger rhythm, almost sounding like he's resisting a little, which is pretty noticable in "Shake It". That's pretty hard to do with a band even with a few chords.
Well written review. my only problem was thatr even though you gave description of the sound, there wasn't much said about the songs on the album. Still, good review.

Glad you think so.
I'm looking across the room....
at my copy of 'Metro Station'. The thoughts in My head are sickening, cruel, and demented. I'm so glad they got back together.

I always considered "Control" to be this album's one saving grace.

I kind of laughed at that, that's the one song I didn't like.
