new single sounds pretty strong, actually.

I'm pretty excited that the album is actually releasing. Daron also announced in a Rolling Stone interview that the current band line-up of Scars will be going into the studio in a few months to record a third album.

Ok, didn't read that interview. I was hoping that he brings John Dolmayan back on board but that doesn't seem to be the case

Daron really was holding out this release for years (completely recorded by himself in the span of 10 days in 2012) in hope of using the material for System of a Down. That didn't work out but now we have potentially two Scars albums in 6-12 months, should be a fun time for fans.

This album is still a solid, enjoyable jam during the sunny days of summer.
Lots of memories attached to this ;(

I upped to 4.5. This is one of the only albums I've ever shifted from 3.5 to 4.5, and over a 12 year period! I think I upped to 4.0 a couple years ago.

I really mean it when I say this album is underrated and overlooked. And it's not a thing where I'd understand people who don't like it, but that I think people just never returned to it because we all thought it was just ok when it released.

The album is pretty cool lots of great riffs.... the only thing missing is more variation, song structure if often very simple: riff, same riff slower, same riff again

What's also nice is the production stood up. Maybe a tad compressed and a bit of distortion in the vocals but overall good sounding. I would say the mix is a bit more balanced than mezmerize/hypnotize and in some ways better than Dictator.

Listened to this a few times and can't understand so much hate.

Is it as good as SoaD? No. But it does have quite a few good songs.

Serious and Stoner hate are both good songs for example and the second is easily a good SoaD song.

First time I am saying this but Sput is absolutely wrong on this one.

It's way better than the average it has. Plus it's weird how Sput never cares about lyrics but suddenly cares about lyrics on an album made by a guy who comes from a band that wrote stuff like "Terracotta pie, horse on a jetpilot and pogo pogo pogo".

Might bump.

Musically it's way more cohesive than Serj's own debut, but doesn't fit quite as well into a predictable box regarding his former band role. Perhaps it would be more "respected" here, had he tried to pull off something like a Jimi Hendrix instead.

Madness, feeling scared

Looking around and nobody there

When I say, "Fuck the world, " let's get ready to rock

As I piss on your face while you suck on my cock
