It's passable, but pretty damn bland all the same. I definitely prefer their later stuff because of the stronger black metal influence and less emphasis on the uninspired breakdowns. I mean, the breakdown at the beginning of Enthroned in Isolation is fucking hilarious because of how repetitive it is

I'm probably a massive dumb dumb, but I thought this was a pretty good album. They're definitely off their damn trolley with all the breakdowns, but some of them rip, and there are some great moments scattered across the record; Innocence Died Screaming being my personal high point.

I will admit it's pretty fun to listen to once in a while. I don't think any Carnifex album was ever an outright dud, even in the earlier stages of their career
