Worn Path = my favorite "skramz" song.

good choice
album is inspiring
|
| |
this is really excellent, but best skramz ever material this is not.
|
| |
Orchid are cool, but there are about 15 or so skramz bands i like more than them.
|
| |
gatefold is probably among my favorite albums. they're just really fucking good at the style.
|
| |
that they are, I'm just more into stuff that's like Ampere/Off Minor
|
| |
this is pretty similar to that i guess. this always reminds me of the tera melos self-titled album but heavy as shit.

^that's actually a very interesting way of looking at it
never understood the ampere comparison greer made in this review though
vocals fucking kill on this record
|
| |
it has the same feeling for some reason, just not nearly as colorful.

this and tera melos or this and ampere?
with ampere i get this whole AWWW YEAH HARDCORE FUCK YEAH REVOLUTION FUCKERS SHORT TRAX REALITY IS A COERCIVE INSTITUTION ~~~~~
with Loma it feel surreal, just lost in all the disjointed guitar work and not knowing when to relax and what have you. i don't know like at its most heavy the drop guitar tuning reminds me of converge, but maybe i'm crazy

tera melos and this.
with Loma it feel surreal, just lost in all the disjointed guitar work and not knowing when to relax and what have you. i agree completely, that's the same way i feel about tera melos s/t. they get into these awesome grooves or flurries of guitar and then slide into the chillest sections only so they came sneak up on you with a balls out heavy section and then do the whole thing again. this is a lot harsher and tera melos is a lot more watercolor sounding but they both have that surreal adventure-acid-trip, crawling through guitar riffs thing going on. similar production too.
