[2] and so are his solos. He is definitely one of Blackmore's finest followers. I am not sure if I would really consider "Mr Crowley's" solo to be the best in metal, but a good case can be made for it.

I also seriously like "Mother Earth's" solo.

the solo from 'Goodbye to Romance' is one of the first that I learned on guitar (don't know if I can remember it though)
It just dawned on me that Ozzy pronounces Crowley's name wrong.

Well, I couldn't play the solo from 'Goodbye to Romance' at full speed either but at least I learned what notes to press on... it's something

Eddie came earlier and influenced Randy though....

That doesn't make his chops better, and the same could be said about Friedman and Romeo.

It does saying a lot about Eddie's greatness as an individual musician though. First and foremost the word influence, it means that Randy based (not copied) some of his chops on eddie's, whereas Eddie's biggest influence were his parents who were also musicians.

Yeah Ive never been that big on Ozzy's solos stuff. This and Diary do rule, but all the first 6 Sabbath are better. I'd take H&H and Mob Rules over this too.

Even so, that 3.5 is way too low.
