Debut is their best, but this is pretty close.

I mostly agree with the review. Though, I normally do not like ballads, Shinedown is exception.
It delivers mostly awesome ballads with two kickass songs. 4,3 is my average. Almost every song is classic except "Sin with a Grin" and "Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide" which I really dislike.

These guys may have gown downhill, but I'll always love their first three albums. One of the best mainstream rock bands of the 2000's.

This album will always remind me of when I worked at a country club back in California. My friend and I jammed Call Me so much back at that job, and I even got to play it on the piano during one of the dinner services. Lots of good memories here

Don't understand how this album has a lower rating than 4, but at least the deluxe edition has it
Almost every song is great but Cry for help & Sound of madness = goat hard rock songs

Because its above average radio rock no matter how you split it
|
| |
@symbolic what's your point? Kendrick lamar and yellow card are below average radio music in comparison
Ok ill admit that was a dig. How about we use "radio Rock" bands as you say like queen, Aerosmith or alter Bridge. This album is as good as anything they've put out but they get much higher ratings

@TheDangerman yeah I moreso meant this particular era/sound of radio rock, like 2000s- early 2010s radio rock. I stopped listening to the radio around 2015 so I dont really know what it sounds like as a "whole" anymore. So the only band I'd lump in that you referred would be Alter Bridge.
I guess my point was just this sound just doesn't do enough for me to warrant much higher, which is obviously purely subjective. I was honestly pretty impressed this was at a 3.6 avg, figured a place like sput woulda hand it a few notches lower. This album has plenty of bangers tho for sure, ill never deny that.
