I prefer the first album as well, mostly for the vocals. This one really is better in most ways though, the instrumentals are definitely far superior. It took me a long time to get into this but it's super good.

yeah, super underrated album. If this was by any other band it would have been much more respected, fans just didn't want this at the time I think. It's some of the best post-hardcore/metalcore/electro/nintendocore ever, or whatever you call that style that was popular when this came out. most bands didn't do it this well though, everything about this album is pretty well done.
