The chick wasn't there? Not sure what that was about but she wasnt so they didnt have any clean vocals in their set.
Maggie never does any vocals on this album, she just played keys. Matt does all of the clean vocals.

It's death metal...with breakdowns...deathcore?
I'm not really a genre nazi, but that sounds like deathcore to me. And even if it's not a deathcore album like you say it is, the point I was trying to get across was that the band is now trying to play towards the current audience. Especially since they're going on the Summer Slaughter tour with bands like Despised Icon and Whitechapel.

Slaughter isnt a deathcore show though. Vader, Aborted, Psyrocroptic, Black Dahlia Murder, Katalklysm, The Faceless. WhiteChapel, Born of Osiris, and Despised Icon got in there but its mostly just death metal.

i dont realize what all the fuss is about
it doesnt sound bad
but its nothing to great either
i love none so vile just as much as anyone else
and it is defintely not as good as that album but its not as horrible as everyone made it out to sound. i was thinking it was going to be a recording of someone shitting, the way everyone was making it sound.

Thank you for posting that Thor. I shit my pants laughing at that clip. Good movie by the way; that particular scene fits so well with the whole deathcore scene and Cryptopsy' current status.

I listened to Resurgance Of An Empire, and I must say, I would rather have someone take a shit on my face then proceed to eat it rather than listen to anything else this album has to offer.
