excellent album but yeah slight lack of variety. avenged sevenfold are pretty much have all of as i lay dying's elements plus more variety (at least a7x's older stuff)



oh yeah, and if you think as i lay dying arent a christian band, then just watch the video for "the darkest nights".



anyways, I dont care that much if they are christian, since their religion is more spiritually expressed in their lyrics and not just like "our god is an awesome god and jesus is the way"

i just got into As I Lay Dying recently and they kick ass!

i haven't bought any of their albums (due to lack of money) yet but you have persuaded me to buy Shadows are Security. thanks man, keep up the great review writing.

right first good review. but second i do not apreciate it when you said oh dont let it put you off that its christian lyrics. i am a christian yes. my dads a minister and my dad likes music he's a drummer .there other bands who have christian lyrics still remains are one underoath another and also spoken.why would christian lyrics put people off .

I like the screaming and singing on this quite a bit.

I wasn't really impressed by FWC, but I've heard this is a giant step forward for the band. I'll have to acquire this from a friend soon.
