I watched Jackass Number Two a few weeks ago again and when he's on screen I roll on the floor laughing during some of the stunts and pranks he's in, but then the end credits show up and the realization sets in he's not with us anymore...and I'm fighting back tears

It truly is one of those "you had to be there" things
I can still remember all of the times I watched their stuff on MTV and the subsequent movies in the early 2000's
Critics at the time may have called it lowbrow trash by and for degenerates, but for a little punk kid like me at the time it was like art on the edge of the abyss
Even though I never knew them personally it felt like I grew up with those guys
