also, the weird, flighty keyboards that come in at about 1:40 on changeling sound a lot like the background music to spyro the dragon. the weird ice cavern levels especially. it wouldnt surprise me if shadow sampled them. anyone else notice that?

emeritus means retired with honor or something.

Listened to this album straight through last night, it truly is spectacular. The textures he creates on some songs is just so beautiful and lonesome sounding. The drums on Mutual Slump own. This Message Edited On 02.18.08

I think Killtacular is right. I hear "Orion," too, the droning bass in the background.

This album is fun as hell to play along to on drums. The only thing that bugs me is my lack of ability with my single bass pedal.

Does anyone else scour the album art to see if they can identify any of the records? Nope, just me. I love the Super Mario Bros Movie cut out on the back

I can relate entirely. I especially want to learn the drumming parts to "building steam..."

Unbelievably brilliant album. DJ Shadow got damn good beats, just wish Organ Donor could've been longer.

Stem/Long Stem rules. I need help, can anyone reccomend me some haunting trip hop/ ambient and or film scores like the song "The Message'(Charlie Clouser Remix)" from Death Sentence Soundtrack. I've been trying to find this stuff to little success so any thanks would be appreciated.

This so soooo good. Love the Orion sampling in The Number Song.

Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt is probably my favourite track now. This Message Edited On 01.02.09
