i would have to say this is system of a downs best album aside from toxcity. its such a true SOAD sound when i listen to it i almost cry its so amazing. i saw them once in concert in toronto september 1st and they havent came back  but when they do youll see me there in a heart beat

Definitely one of my favorite albums of all time, the band along with the album have so much substance. The tracks all the way through just deliver such a powerful sound. There are some tracks that are a little odd such as DDevil and CubeRT. But such tracks like Suggestions, Spiders, Soil and P.L.U.C.K. are just amazing.
Definitely a 5 in my eyes.

Nice review, man. I like how you talked about each individual song in so much depth. Unlike some bands, all of System of a Down's songs are original and easy do separate from thier other songs. But I'm going to have to disagree with your five out of five rating. Although this album was good, even "superb", it does not top Toxicity, which is the nu-metal bible. This CD explodes out of the gate. Know is horribly underatted, check the drumming on that song, it's mindblowing. Sugar is obviously classic, but Suggestions takes the f**king cake, in my opinion. I love that song and it is my favorite on this album. While Sugar, Spiders and War? are the well known songs, and are certianly deserving of recognition, the trio of Peephole, Suggestions, and Know are my three favorite. But there are some holes in this album, such as Ddevil (wtf?), Mind, Darts, and Soil. Good album though.

This album is my favorite ever. I can see how some people might not like/get them though. But for crying out loud, they're NOT nu-metal and are much more talented than garbage like limp bizkit/linkin park/crazy town, etc..

They are Nu-Metal. Nu-Metal doesn't mean it's a bad thing, there are talented Nu-Metal bands. Mudvayne is very talented, more talented then System.

I enjoy System a bit, not to much however. Serj's vocals annoy the hell out of me, and the bass and guitar isn't anything special. I'd say that Mudvayne has made three great records IMO.

Maybe originality, but I've yet to see any real technical work from them. And everyone of Mudvayne's albums have been different, you listen to them back to back it'll sound like three different bands.
