The transition from heavy to clean in Master's Apprentices is probably reason enough alone to give this album a 4. But then there's a fair judgment and deliverance which makes this album super jizz-worthy.

I love how For Absent Friends is placed between the ending doom metal riffing of A Fair Judgement and the following onslaught of Master's Apprentices. Such a peaceful and melancholic little piece.

Opeth played Wreath and Masters Apprentices at Prog Nation, sick stuff.

The latter would be one of the top songs I'd love to see them play. I like Wreath quite a bit, but it's not a top choice as far as live songs go.

Their Prog Nation setlists have been pretty weird tbh

I agree, they played a strange setlist. Mikael told me that they were experimenting with different songs rather than the ordinary hits they have, but theyre going on an American tour in September where they'll go back to their popular stuff. And yes, I cant stop rubbing it in that I met him.
