Talons you should check out Monumension. It's really underrated on sputnik but it's a great album and the psychedelic influence is a lot more prominent on it

I don't know if this was the best place to start, I'm very curious how they developed this unique sound so I'll probably backtrack a few albums as well as move forward.

You should've just went in order Talons.
This is one of the bands that is perfect to listen to their discog start to finish (present). This album however is second best Enslaved right after Axioma.
