"this is a beautiful album
wonder why the Pitchfork guys rated it so low"
Because frankly Pitchfork kinda sucks. The last several reviews I've read from them, the writers clearly haven't listened to the band previously and I'm sorry but reviewing the 5th full length album from a band that morphs so frequently such as Ulver is a disservice to the bands fans who will be reading the review.

As much as i love this album, some of Garm's vocals sound out of place.

Get Shadows of the Sun first. Then those two. Can't go wrong with any of the three, though.

During the Great Connecticut Blackout of October-November 2011 I listened to this in the pitch black nightly.

Nowhere/Catastrophe is probably one of the greatest songs they've done.
