yeah but the end of stady is better than the power of equality, slightly.

Stadium Arcadium butchers this album, really. In just about every concievable way.

I don't get what you're trying to say. BSSM is a lot more funky, energetic, and consistent then Stadium Arcadium. This album features a great mix of raw funk influenced songs and soothing ballads while Stadium Arcadium is filled with a bunch of filler. Not to mention the fact that BSSM showcases many classic tunes like Give it Away and Under the Bridge while Stadium Arcadium has no memorable tunes or standout tracks.

Funky doesn't necassarily mean good, though. As for consistent, that's really a personal opinion, as I only like three or so songs on here. I find Stadium Arcadium offers a wider range of better songs.

Bolded- That's all the album has. Mindless funk-rap and a few ballads. Stadium Arcadium has much more diversity and meaning, and it's executed better.

Stadium does have more filler, but it also has more good songs. Rather eclectic ones, at that.

Not to mention the fact that BSSM showcases many classic tunes like Give it Away and Under the Bridge

Two great songs doesn't repair the damage the rest of them do. An album isn't better than another based on whether or not it contains timeless hits, and even if it was Stadium Arcadium hasn't had the chance to present any yet. This Message Edited On 08.30.06

Blood sugar i find maintains perfect energy whereas i can skip through half the songs on both jupiter and mars. I just find it as a band enjoying themselves and not giving a f##k
This is true yet I personally tend to enjoy the more energetic and funk influenced Chili Peppers as opposed to the more straight up "rock" Chili Peppers.
Bolded- That's all the album has. Mindless funk-rap and a few ballads. BSSM is basically "funk rap" plus a few ballads yet Stadium Arcadium is basically straight up rock with a few funk licks here and there. The thing is that Stadium Arcadium is much, much longer then BSSM.

There are more then two classics, I just failed to mention them all. Suck My Kiss, Funky Monks and Breaking the Girl are all excellent tracks that come to mind and they are all quite different from one another. I also beleive that there is only one poor track off of BSSM but that's obviously debateable.

Stadium Arcadiums biggest single "Dani California" isn't nearly as energetic of groovy as most of the singles released off of this album. In the end I just find BloodSexSugarMagik a much more preferable listen, but I guess it just depends on what you like.

Fair enough, Zeb.

By the way, I've always preferred the poppy sounds of By the Way and such.

I defenitily think its an under appreciated album, but not my favorite. Dave navaroo does some great work though.

No creativity? I'm hard pressed to think of any Chili Peppers album that shows off much creativity. This is much more creative then By the Way or Stadium Arcadium. BSSM is supposed to be a funky album that doesn't showcase much except for upbeat, energetic, and fun tunes.

yeah i agree, i think few bands, excluding people like the beatles have evolved and changed their sound like the chillis, listen to a song like "party on your pussy" (actually a good song!) up to "dosed"

yeah rhcp have evolved a lot over time, but it's definitely not a bad thing. you can't be around for 23 years and make the exact same music you did when you were that young. its impossible, and if they did, 80% of their newer songs would probably end up sounding like party on your pussy. that's just my opinion on the band. all you people can go on arguing over whether chad smith or cliff martinez was a better drummer but I honestly love it all. They are my favorite band of all time, so obviously i like them quite a bit. This Message Edited On 11.29.06
