Ok, genuinely asking here, this band seems loved by a lot of the OG's or well known users on the site especially those who know metalcore. So the question is why does this bands avg ratings seem so low yet they get a lot of love? Is this more a nostalgic band of some sort? I never listened to them and tried them recently and nothing really stood out as that great. It wasn't bad by any means but nothing I'd give more than a 3 range just about.

The band rule. Check 'Revenge I Seek' or 'On Wings of Lead'.

Combination of nostalgia band and also victims of the elitlist trve kvlt anti-metalcore phase this site went through in the 00s I reckon

Honestly the elitist metalcore users I actually see enjoy this unless you meant those against metalcore entirely. I'll have to give them a proper listen because nostalgia definitely doesn't factor in for me as I've never listened to them. I'm kind of shocked I somehow never listened to them during my major metalcore kick phases both these days and old.

Their earlier stuff def has a nostlagic factor for me but most of their new stuff rules hard too.

Oh no I meant the complete anti-metalcore thrash/black/death metal archives archetypes that used to lurk here decades ago.

That makes sense butkuiss because it's pretty clear most sput alumni I like or have similar taste to seem to really love this bands discog which is why I was always confused by the very mid to slightly below avg scores. Granted rating scores really don't matter in the long run but I always found it perplexing

I wish we had a rating trend function like RYM; I’d hazard that a lot of “classic” 00s metalcore records are rated higher today than they used to be. Even watching the rating for Hybrid Theory climb here over the last 15 years has been a thing of joy.
Unfortunately I just think these guys didn’t really stay relevant enough to have a critical reappraisal over time.

I agree despite putting out records constantly. Last time I had a chance to see them live In Florida it was 2011. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s the last time I saw them announce a tour date in Florida.
