The intro is like the best part! Sets the mood wonderfully. This isn't exactly my kind of music, but for some reason this was my favorite CD to listen to when I used to smoke pot in parking garages at school. Slipknot's fun to drum to cuz it's not complicated but it wears you out quick.

This is their worst album, IMO. But it still had songs worth listening to on it. And though you compare songs from their self titled album to this album, the songs, while maybe the same pace or some such, the albums, and therefore songs themselves, are not much a like. PERIOD. This album was their worst. Self titled was their second best and Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses is their ~best~. [This isn't including 9.0 Live since I've recently bought, but not listened to it yet--plus it's just the songs live from other albums.]

Slipknot... nope, cant say I like 'em. If it weren't for Joey's drumming, this wouldn't even be a 2.

This to me is slipkunt's only decent album. Probably the most aggressive nu metal album made, which explains why so many kids are into hardcore these days. I like the long instrumental 'Iowa' and I have to admit it was that song that got me into The Red Sparowes, Isis, Neurosis and the like.

Dumb? Oh Hell yes. But they are so simple and strikingly effective that I just can't help but want to stomp some faces in.

True enough. But making me want to hurt people isn't the same as being good.
