Dangerously close to slapping 5 on this after having it on in the car this morning.

It's not a PL album that initially connected with me. Don't get me wrong, I though it was great straight out of the box, but it was released at a time when my interest in this sort of music was on the wane slightly. Draconian Times (my intro to the band) and the s/t hit at perfect times in my musical development (and, to a lesser extent, Symbol of Life) but, and stick nearly two decades of hindsight on this, In Requiem might be the closest challenger to Draconian Times' crown.

I'm familiar with their whole discography but I'm currently going through the whole lot again. This album is the prefect blend of the catchy, bleak & melodic side showcased on the s/t album and the aggressive, heavier side of PL that we saw a lot more on Faith Divides Us... and beyond.
