Through the progression and attentiveness to the album, you start to feel astriction from the guitar riffs, but lack of atmosphere - Opeth's typical trademark. Yet songs like A Fair Judgment have deliverance of phlegmatic choruses that fling through your ears, mellowing. Then you have Master's Apprentices, disputations of Death Metal sing unstoppable with unstipulated drum beats and melodic riffs.

The album can differ greatly, but it seems to me that only half of the songs get my heart beating with instignation as I have already exeamplified. The ones that do stand out, are some of the most imitable songs by Opeth.

Deliverance is definitely the best song on here. That outro is nuts.

Let me guess. Not heavy enough? Not brutal enough? Well maybe it'd be better if I just kill myself huh? Why don't you record that? Would that be brutal enough for you? Me being dead.
it's plenty heavy, but it's just a bit forced to me, and honestly suicide on tape would be the coolest thing ever I just might do it myself

Very well written review, however i think you may have been a little harsh, would not a 3 have been more appropriate?

This is a great album.

The title track is up there with some of Opeth's best.
