I like the highs. They sound better on here than they did on Miasma and Unhallowed.

Orgasm*^^^

The album is highly overrated. I will agree they tightened their musicianship alot but like Confessed said above:

just too bad they stick to their style and don't branch out too much.

Thats unfortunate for a band that has more potential then this!

It'd be weird if they changed their style. Some bands are good at experimenting and some are just better sticking to their guns. What could they do, really?

Well, they're are pretty young. Time brings out the best in most bands with potential, as long as bother to stick to your guns whilst simultaneously involving new ideas.

The only complaint i have is that the end isnt that the last 3 songs arent as good as the rest of the album, but i can get over that because the rest fucking kills. Also, TBDM IS NOT A METALCORE BAND AT ALL!!!!!

Ok im really thinking about giving this album a classic rating. It gets better everytime i listen to it. TBDM is one of the best Melodic Death/Black Metal bands to ever walk the earth.

There are definitely Black Metal influences on this album. The vocals for one. Listen to the title track with all the tremlo picking. TBDM have Black Metal in them.

I totally agree with Hawks, There is a shitload of black metal-ish riffs on this cd. The dark and evil chords and speed picking patterns are almost standard black metal chords and patterns. The main verse riff of the Title track is the best example i can think of.

But i must say i like the transition from catchyness to a more evil atmospheric tone. They pull it off well.

Oh and anyone that calls Black Dahlia metalcore needs to fuckin cut their testicles off and shove them in a blender. while their early stuff was catchy and had metalcore influences, it was definitely death metal. And if you listen to their really early demos they were almost power metal. So basically BDM is evolving from light and airy to evil and atmospheric, which is totally BAMFIN

Yeah the atmosphere on here is great. This is by far their best album. The Black Metal influences on here resemble Emperor IMO. The lyrics are also awesome. They are gory and Death Metal like, but they also have some of the anti-christian themes of Black Metal.

Yeah man by far their best album. Also their most evil album by far. A lot more Black Metal than on their other two albums.
