Try their first. In my opinion the best Doom Metal ever recorded.

Tall statement, The NoTrap! Considering some of the caliber of bands of the genre. I will look into it. And yes, this does indeed rule.

Classic doom record from the genre masters Candlemass. All songs here are cool but the previous (and debut) is in my opinion definitely better.

Hawks, you need to listen to the first 4 records if you want a complete Candlemass experience.

Before listening to Candlemass (thanks to Sputnik and to a friend of mine who intoduced me to Doom) Metal for me was limited to the Traditional style and Thrash. After listening to the Doom Masters, Stoner/Doom became my second favorite metal subgenre, due to my love for Sabbath's early work. After that i was introduced to a lot of awesome bands like: Electric Wizard, Cathedral, Pentagram, Solitude Aeturnus, Warning, Kyuss, Sleep, Saint Vitus, Wo Fat, The Sword, and many more.
