It totally is
Bayou is honestly --a bit-- overrated, though the opener is classic as hell

Long As I Can See the Light is the best song ever made probably.

Just occurred to me I’ve never heard a CCR album. All I’ve heard is The Long Road Home compilation which compiles a bunch of their best stuff + some Fogerty solo stuff. Loved that compilation as a kid, gonna check this soon
And as a side note Fogerty’s Revival album is very good and underrated

Listen to this for sure, one of the greatest albums of all time. All of their albums (except the last few) are exceptional though.

Nice, will do for sure. I actually had no idea they had so many critically acclaimed albums

Best 60s band for good riffs

What makes it ridiculous is that their peak career was literally just a couple years. They cranked out more classic tunes in a single year than 99.9% of bands ever do

Pendelum is such an underrated record too.
68-70... 6 awesome records in 3 years and then one terrible one in 72

It's incredible for sure. I do agree Pendulum is underrated, but I wouldn't recommend it over any of the records that came before.

Can't argue with that, enjoy! Every album is great, until you make it all the way to Mardi Gras, which if you spin be prepared for a bunch of laughably bad songs (along with Someday Never Comes, an absolute classic)

This goes DUMB. Slapper after slapper

yeah their 68-70 output was one of the most incredible runs for any band I can think of. Almost every song people know and hear on the radio from CCR came out within a span of like 2 years.
PS - Green River is #1

I like it more than the first 2
Green River > Cosmo's Factory > Willy and the Poor Boys > Pendulum > John Fogerty's songs on Mardi Gras > Bayou Country > the s/t >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest of Mardi Gras
