Well, if you continue to appear as an arse in your reviews people will continue to neg the crap out of them. It's just an unattractive feature and makes you seem juvenilistic.

your right, sarcasm is in most reviews. but excessive use of sarcasm in such a fashion like yours isn't fun to read. (or very informative for that matter.) im just saying the way you display your opinions doesn't work well for critical analysis.

I dont know maybe I dont know enough about sarcasm, but it didn't strike me as particualrly sarcastic.
You whining about how Eddie Van Halen stole Jimmy Page's style or whatever isn't realy sarcasm. No offense.

After seeing this review, I've found the reason why I'm growing fond of you. Taking Eddie Van Halen down a nice few pegs.

Also, don't bump old reviews just for the sake of bumping them.

first off, there's nothing to be proud of in being arrogant...you just sound like a jack ass.

Now, no where do I claim that Van Halen is an amazing band. They had a few good songs...but There is credit to be given here. Eddie did to guitar what Hendrix and Page did ten years beforehand. He brought it to the next level and inspired kids to pick up the instrument...because the punk craze was killing it.

I've played with some really talented guitarists, and all of them have had a goal in life to play Eruption. They know pieces here and there, but to play it in its entirety is an extreme feat in itself. I ask you, can you play this piece? You use strong words and spiteful grades for great pieces of music...

And your sarcasm is laid on so thick that it is obnoxious to read. Sarcasm is the easiest and lamest form of humor...and it's sad that so many people use it. Basically, sarcasm is a defense mechanism, and as you knock on these great albums...and give praise to the Rolling Effing Stones...I ask what do you have to be so bitter and afraid of?

i don't know why, but this review reminds me of that genius scene at the beginning of «Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure». you know, the one that starts «You know, Ted, I don't think Wyld Stallyns will really become a world-famous band unless we get Eddie Van Halen to play guitar...»

"Eddie is one of the most wildly uninventive guitarists in the history of overrated crap."

I realize that you dislike his style but this just isn't true. The definition of uninventive according to dictionary.com is "deficient in originality or creativity; lacking powers of invention; a sterile ideology lacking in originality; unimaginative development of a musical theme; uninspired writing." So while he was inspired by Jimmy Page, he went far beyond what Page did in Heartbreaker and created something entirely new and different. You might not like his style but he did things with the electric guitar that nobody did before him, so he can't possibly be called uninventive.

Also by saying that you're truth telling, you're assuming that music is objective and that your personal tastes are above everyone else's.

I completely agree about Eddie, although this album certainly isn't as bad as you say.

I'll never understand what people see in this band.

Pisses me off how in all of your review you state the music as being 'too simple' but yet you give the most simple, retarded album (Back In Black) a 5
