I've listened to this Nighttime Birds and How to Measure A Planet...all 3 are insanely good. This is probably my favorite still but I can see the other 2 albums creeping up on this one day.

How to Measure A Planet will eventually make it for sure.
It's a fucking masterpiece.

I can definitely understand why someone may prefer Nighttime Birds or How to Measure A Planet. Such an amazing run of albums and gotta love the experimentation.

I loved If Then Else as well. But their best is either Nighttime Birds or Sleepy Buildings.

Looking at some of the band's early performances with Anneke and man is she an entertaining frontwoman. I like how the band didn't really seem to care much about having a gothic aesthetic live.

Jamming now and man, this aged like fine wine. The first 4 tracks are an incredible run.

One of my favorite The Gathering videos. You can feel the '90s magic and also, young Anneke > trained Anneke
|
| |
Omg yeah manosg, young Anneke melts my bones. That performance is magical, so much energy, so much fun.

They were good across the board yeah, but my favourite moments were mostly ballads or epics

Great album. So cool to see them grow and develop their sound over the course of the Anneke-years.
