”In September 2005, the band Million Dead came to an end after playing their last show in Southampton. In March 2024, we all met up for a beer and realised we couldn’t really remember why we broke up. So in 2025, to mark our 20th anniversary, all five members are going to be coming back together to play a handful of shows. We’re pretty excited, we hope you are too. See you next year.”

"What other bands tell stories with their lyrics in a similar way to this band? Like with a similar prose / verbosity I guess?"

Dang, I thought this was a more substantial bump. I love this record though. Simply life affirming at the time I heard it.

This is one of my favourite albums but I have strangely little interest in seeing them live now, I just have little faith they'll be able to recapture the youthful energy and emotion.

Hawks, make sure you listen to I Gave My Eyes to Stevie Wonder too. It's not included on the album but it was part of the deluxe edition of it. I think it's one of their best songs.

Used to be obsessed with the music video (and the guitar riff for the bridge) for I am the party back in the day
