Clouds taste like misty dew/ozone, and acidic sometimes. Hail, also hail is in there. At least we arent on Venus.

This album is just a nonstop treat for the ears. Shocked by how good this is after two plays. When You Smile is maybe the best FL song I’ve heard so far

Okay I’ve heard this now 10 times and have some thoughts.
This album rules, but I think it has some weak spots. Psychiatric Explorations, This Here Giraffe, When You Smile, Kim’s 🍉 Gun, and Evil Will Prevail are my favourites. I think Abandoned Hospital Ship, Lightning Strikes the Postman, Punctured Yolk, and Christmas at the Zoo are also good fun. Brainville tho, Idk why it didn’t register on the first couple listens but the chorus in that song is spectacularly bad, which is a shame because the verses are great. Guy Who Got A Headache is a bit annoying and I’m not super into that one either. Outside of those two tracks tho, I have no real complaints.

the use of distortion/feedback guitar on this album is really special. amazing mix of noise and clean/melodic playing

I can’t remember the last time I jammed this band but I’m thinking this is probably their peak(?)… then probs Yoshimi, Soft B, Satellites, Embryonic (in that order?) 🤔
warrants reevaluation

Yoshimi > this > Soft Bulletin > Transmissions > Zaireeka > The Terror > Embryo (I have yet to properly crack this one but I've identified multiple great tracks) Mystics > Priest Driven Ambulance > who cares
I haven't heard their last 3 albums, been meaning to get around to them. No idea where they'll slot in. I have a banging af playlist on Spotify of like 30 or so songs from these guys.
Also - Mystics is weird, because I think it has some of the best songs they've made to date (Vein of Stars, Mr. Ambulance Driver, and The Sound of Failure), but also a bunch of stuff that ranges from inoffensively bland to downright annoying as hell
