i'm deeply saddened by the amount of negative energy put into this review. instead of trying desperately to keep people from checking it out themselves, let them build their own oppinion without your crap as their first guideline. people left and right are admitting theyre not going to check this album out now because of this review. it's disgusting! so you dont like the album. the world doesnt care, especially if you're ego is going to be so flared up about it. and also, write some music and forward it to me, i wanna hear the genius musician you SHOULD be to have such a ridiculously intense and elaborately negative view on this. i guarantee your crap is vaporized by devin's worst moment. devin townsend is a genius, ziltoid is not my favorite album from his solo work, but none of them are, theyre all very good. i like how you said he resigned from the music industry after this? LMAO you got to be kidding, his best work BY FAR has been released since then...better and better. i think ive said enough.

The problem is not the review, but people who are so easly influenced.

I do love that he tweeted this. Yeah, let's be honest, this IS an awful review. (The easily influenced people are even worse than the review, but, wow.) And I'm not even speaking as a huge fan, it's just that any review of music that isn't a review of something on the level of Dr. Acula or Dot Dot Curve that starts off with the line "is an uninspired, generic, tepid piece of trash" is PROBABLY not a reasonable review.

Color your world and the greys are sick

The Greys and Hyperdrive are the songs I kept from this

People should not take this review at face value. The chart has 3.5's and 4's as the most common ratings, so that should at least say something. But there's still too many negative comments flying around about this album. It's not Devin's best, of course, but it still is a great piece of music, and another solid addition to Hevy Devy's brilliant catalog.

I've never liked this

bahaha this is ridiculous
the music is pretty good, nothing special, but idk about the concept. its not really that funny just well, ridiculous.
im enjoying this decently enough but its the first townsend album ive listened too, does anyone have some suggestions for another album by him thats a better starting point and less cheesy? or is it all like this?
|
| |
IK that this is late, but seriously dude, didn't even find Hyperdrive enjoyable?

This is up there for me as one of my fav Devin albums. The whole thing is telling a great story! It's premise is funny, but it is also vicious at times, heartfelt at others, inspiring, melodic, you name it. It's just a really fun album to listen to.

Thought this was a good album after many reviews. And I almost gave a 5 rating for Terria. But this one from DT is only good. Nothing super about this album. Alright good but nothing more.

i think it's a 4.5 and i don't give a fuck. i know it's a drum machine so OMG it's musical heresy to like it but i love the drumming on this album.
