yeah i think this album took what they did on thrill seeker and fleshed it out even more. IMO this record is far better than thrill seeker.

Thrill Seeker's less generic is all. This album just has too much of a forced "heavy" sound, which they didn't really pull off too well. The new singer's great though.

This album is amazing. I personally can't compare this and thrill seeker....they are both soo good. I think they are both equally good but i like the recording for messengers a little better. The drummer is a man amongst boys haha.

...i was simply trying to state that each album is good in its own ways and that i'm not going to place on in front of the other....why the hell do you care anyways...or is that all you have to do is point out stupid things i say. in that case rip me apart all you want, i might go cry to my mommy

Love this band live. Back Burner and An American Dream! made people go crazy, whole set was solid though, i just recently checked out the new Cd and i was impressed for the most part, drumming was what i thought unique, and I've heard people say they didn't like all the cymbals but i loved the use of them.

Also this had some shitty cover art. This Message Edited On 01.18.08

whoever told you that is a moron. They are the best live act I've ever seen and I've seen Eric Clapton. Their intensity live and the sheer flawlessness of their songs played live amazed the hell out of me.

I guess I'll have to check out some youtube videos.
You can't argue about the cover art though.
I've been hard on these guys but I still think they don't warrant a 4+....especially when there's better tech-metal out there.
|
| |
well it's not really "tech-metal" its just metalcore with a few off beats and stuff. most of their stuff is actually in 4/4.

Oh.
Also I can't help but find humour in how you're ragging on me for rating Jaged Little Pill a classic yet you give a seemily medicre metalcore band a 5.

You can't argue about the cover art though. Yeah you can, easily. It's not a piece or art I or anyone is going to go frame but it is certainly at the least an average cover. Nothing repulsive or overly corny IMO.

Just got from seeing these guys live. They weren't that amazing, but pretty energetic considering how much the instrumental members have to concentrate on playing right. It was really stupid though, cause they only got to play 6 songs, and with the exception of The Human Abstract (maybe) ABR was the best band on the Take Action tour.
I bought Thrill Seeker cause it was the only thing I could possibly get signed...then I wasn't able to.
