@Wizard what album do you recommend getting next? I just picked up Given to the Rising. What really surprises me is it took me forever to get into ISIS but I loved this on my first listen.

Man it's hard for me to choose between a 4 and a 4.5. As soon as I rated it I felt like I picked the wrong rating haha. Can't stop listening to this album today.

That's actually pretty accurate for the way I think about those two albums.
Edit: If I listen to Neurosis it's almost always Souls at Zero or Enemy of the Sun. Easily their two best (Eye of Every Storm is close, though).

Yeah, I think their "big three" are The Word as Law, Souls at Zero and Enemy of the Sun. Word as Law is just a good metal/hardcore album with bits of post metal around the edges. Something easy to just throw on, and that bit of hardcore is still kind of there on the other two albums I mentioned. After that they hit that wall-of-sound era that I'm not really into.

Wall of sound Neurosis = bliss! I have to disagree. That's probably why I stopped listening to their albums after Enemy of the Sun and didn't really like anything again until Eye of Every Storm.

The Tide is the best on the album, closely followed by Stones From The Sky.
Getting into alot of Neurosis atm, becoming my favorite band pretty quickly.

Stones From The Sky, then The Tide for me, but every song pretty much rules because this is Neurosis
