Ohdamn, I actually need to get this. I never knew it was posthumous material, I kept thinking it was some "best of" album.

It's Elliott Smith, I must get. Everything the man touched was gold.

It really, really did. Like, this is a collection of songs that he didn't think good enough to make a proper album, and there's like 5 of his best songs on here. It's ridiculous.

He knew how to write a damn song, that's for sure. I love his vocal style, his guitar playing, it's all so distinctly Elliott, but he never makes it formulaic. Every song on his full-lengths are an experience, not a single dud in his discography that I've heard.

There are very very occasional down points for me such as Satellite, Drive All Over Town, Amity, Don't Go Down

but that's like ten songs out of however many he wrote, a couple of hundred, still an amazing effort

Yeah, there are songs for me that I don't like as much as some others, but I still highly enjoy every track I have heard by him. I'm for sure listening to this album today, though.
