Yes, I must admit even as a longtime U2 booster I did not like this album even upon repeated listenings. I remember telling a friend of mine it was "half great and half terrible". Then it just all fell into place for me somehow. I like all these songs. A lot. Except Original Of The Species, which I still think is crap. But Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It....Love And Peace Or Else, City Of Blinding Light, and especially for me Crumbs From Your Table are tremendous. All Because Of You rocks, and A Man And A Woman is almost a U2 torch song. I now feel this album can stand among their better and best work. Yahweh is fantastic, too...

This is a good album, I think that the band's older material is far better, but this surprised me because I expected something really bad.

Coheed and Cambria ripped off U2's "A Man And A Women" for their acoustic version of "A Favor House Atlantic". :-

"It's not that bad", replied the Jungler. "What do you find displeasing?", he said with a quizical look upon his face. This Message Edited On 08.26.06

"Well..." stuttered AV8RS. The suddeness of inquisition The Jungler had thusted upon him had temporarily knocked him off his guard. "I feel it's all been done before," AV8RS stated with a deadpan expression.

In Vertigo Bono says "uno, dos, tres, catorce" I think it's refering to Steve Lillywhite producing their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourteenth albums. Nevertheless it still kicks ass, I think it's probabbly better off being catorce than cuatro anyway, lol.

Achtung or Joshua Tree. Can't go wrong with those.

Noel inspired Bono to make the song "One Step Closer", so that explains the credit.

Vertigo is an exciting song,

the rest is just U2-by the numbers..

Every song on here sounds amazing. Epic music and excellent lyrics make for an instant classic.

I like U2 but I think they're horribly overrated.

God i hate this band. Could bono be more of a self obsessed wanker? Lose the sunnies, you're indoors you goose! And who calls themselves 'the edge?'

You'd call yourself The Edge if you were edgy and cool.
