I may stand alone on this, but "Another Hero Lost" is pulled off absolutely flawlessly. I'm glad they stood behind putting out a ballad-like song and weren't worried about turning fans away, because man is that a great song.

At like the minute mark of that song, where Jon comes in with the mini solo, it's such like a tasteful lead, as opposed to the look I can shred that a lot of bands do with that type of space in a song.

can't believe I discovered this band only about a month ago, really good stuff. Everything is top notch exept the vocals that could be better, but the guitar work on this levels it so its all good. Looking forward to their 2009 effort.

An okay album, enjoyable but bland. Their new songs Still I Rise and King Of Nothing are awesome, way better than these ones.
Best Songs: Redemption, Burning The Lives, Another Hero Lost, The Final Call.

Very well written and recorded Thrash/Speed metal album. Guitars riffs are very good, with a nice variety of songs.

I like this album overall, although it lacks that classic heaviness that Shadows Fall had in The Art of Balance and The War Within. They got a bit of that back in Retribution, but that album still sounds more like Threads of Life than previous ones, I think.

Heard this back in 2007, I still hear it once in a while like once a year. Some songs have staying power like "Burnign The Lives" and "Failure of the devout".
It's an average album overall. If you don't listen to this, you won't be missing anything.
