I listened the album a few times and I asked to myself: Where is the FUCKING complexity of diorama. And then I gave the middle finger to Daniel.

Fun fact: the drummer from Silverchair once tried to pick up my sister while we were out at a family meal at a fancy restaurant. He sat in a dark corner table and had the waitress bring over a glass of champagne with a piece of paper reading: "Hi, I'm from Silverchair. Would you like to go out with me?" and a "Yes/No/Maybe" multiple choice box. In front of my parents. My sister was under 18. Classy.

He had an accident in a gym and he'll hardly be able to play drums anymore, so there it goes the karma.

Not bad, it might be a grower, but first impression is they lost their identity, groove, emotional depth and heavyness. I always thought they could do more than just stay within the strict confines of post grunge, I applaud them taking a risk, but I wasn't imagining this. This is technically competent and fairly well written, but I don't feel it, it sounds flat to me. It sounds like retro rock with loudness war modern production. Hard to digest such a radical change in sound and their influences did it better in the 60s and 70s..

I love this album. But I really wish we could hear the Nick Launay version.
