i try to, i just get fed up with not understanding anything at a certain point, their time signatures are almost impossible to predict and understand. gets annoying to me but other than that, its a solid record, heavy as tits and i love heavy This Message Edited On 02.06.08

It's decent. A couple songs here and there are fun. I couldn't listen to this all the way through, though.

This album is much better than most of you are making it out to be. Their drummer is insane, their vocalist has amazing lows, and they have sick sweeps. If you haven't heard this album, I wouldn't let others persuade you from it. If you like solid technical death metal check them out asap.

their drummer is very good yes, but at some point when do the songs run into each other like the review says?
so many of thier songs sound like other ones
but this is still a solid release
i still enjoy it from time to time

Well being a huge fan of technical metal i really really dig this album. The drumming alone kept my attention all the way through and this was really easy for me to listen to over and over because of the shear speed. The vocals are the one set back in my opinion but I still say musicianship keeps this album up in the ratings.

yeah the first time I heard this band, the word "mechanical" came to mind. I listen to them in the car mostly.

Necrophagist is much better in every aspect, so there's really no reason to listen to this band.

As everyone has said previously, this cd is rediculous. The speeds these guys play at are completely insane. I've played guitar for 10 years and when I listen to this cd I still find myself laughing at the absurd technicality. I've seen a couple live videos of them playing and their drummer is funny to watch. All his shit is so triggered he barely moves, barely hits the snare or bass drums for that matter, but he's still a beast, probably one of the best drummers I've ever heard as far as speed goes. Anyways, I enjoy this cd but I can't listen to it daily.

Maybe they were bad live because there's one guitarist playing two parts, and both of them are insanely wanky when i saw them they had two guitarists.
Breakdowns for the most part aren't complicated. They aren't supposed to be, they are catchy.
haha who came up with this? breakdowns were originally fairly complicated and i like my breakdowns complex. besides, their breakdown consisted of one chord with a measure pause between that stretched for 2 minutes.

I still enjoy this album once in a while. One of the better deathcore albums I've heard, despite its monotonous tone.

there is one of their songs that is like that on thier first album, the breakdowns on this album are a bit more complex, listen to the interlude song and tell me if you can find a beat

not sure why everyone complains about the breakdowns on this cd. its by far their biggest flaw, but it also helps separate them from the spawn of possessions and necrophagists out there. maybe its not the best way, but its something a little different.
